Actively appraising since 1972, R. Marvin Dailey, MAI,
SRA is the principal of the Dailey Appraisal Group,
and has been involved in the real estate business
as a salesman, broker, and investor since the mid 1960s. He became affiliated
with the Society of Real Estate Appraisers in the mid 1970s, earning the SRA
designation in 1977. That designation stands as the foremost residential designation
in the world. In 1987 he earned the Society's non-residential designation, the
SRPA (Senior Real Property Appraiser. He became affiliated with the American
Institute of Real Estate Appraisers in 1983, earning the
MAI designation in 1987.
Mr. Dailey has a profound interest in professionalism
and has taught many of the appraisal courses and seminars
including
some of the earliest seminars on the Uniform Standards
of Professional Appraisal Practice.
Flying is his first love and the expansion from real-estate-only
appraising into
aircraft appraisal is a natural one.
He has been a pilot for nearly forty years and has accumulated
upwards of 5,000 flight hours in various types of aircraft
from his initial airplane, an Aeronca 7AC (Champ) through
his current airplane, a Piper PA-30 (Twin Comanche). He
holds instructor ratings for instrument and airplane and
in May
2002 at the age of 58, earned the ATP (Airline Transport
Pilot) Certificate
